Mildred Jennie Munson was born on Monday, 16 March 1908, in South Lee (Berkshire County) Massachusetts, the 2nd daughter and third child of Fred Alonzo Munson (1877-1939) and Fannie Agusta Dustin (1880-1964)

On Sunday, 26 September 1926, in Westfield (Hampden County) Massachusetts, she married Herbert Edgar Douglass (1904-1983) by whom she bore five sons: Herbert Edgar Jr. (b. 1927), James Munson (b. 1928), Richard Curtiss (b. 1932), Gerald Robert (b. 1938), and Melvyn Wayne (b. 1944).

 She died at the home of her son, just before sunrise, on Friday, 29 January 1988, in Houston (Harris County) Texas.
